I know I’m not the only person who has a love for faux leather. It just looks so good! Every time I wear it, or carry a bag made out of it, I feel so stylish and maybe a little bit edgy. 😉
This week I took my love for faux leather and channeled it to create something I’ve always wanted. A faux leather pencil skirt!
Check it out!
Not only is this a super quick and simple sew, but I also used a free pattern to make it with. Patterns For Pirates has their free “Pirate Pencil Skirt” and I put it to good use for this project.
The faux leather I used is actually a knit fabric. I searched for a while to find a faux leather with stretch that wouldn’t break the bank. Let me tell you, it took a while! I found this particular faux leather at So Sew English Fabrics. However, I have found it at a comparable price at Girl Charlee as well.
I love how stylish it feels! I also put together this little video of me constructing the pencil skirt. Just for the fun of it. (It’s not a tutorial.)
