DIY zoo party banners

Make your own zoo party banners with this free printable!

Banners are a great way to add a little extra something to any party. That’s why I’ve made some banners for today’s free printable. These are great for zoo, safari, or jungle them parties! There are two banners in todays post. There is one for birthday parties, and one for baby showers. Check them out!

These banners do require some assembly, but it’s very easy to do. The supplies you need for assembly are:

  • Hole Punch (I used a standard office three hole punch)
  • Scissors or Paper Cutter (to cut them out)
  • Ribbon or String

Printing and Assembly

First you’ll want to print and cut the banner out. I recommend using card stock for printing since it will make your banner more sturdy and durable. A paper cutter will help you have straighter lines when cutting out the banner, however scissors still work great.

After all the pieces are cut out, punch a hole in the top two corners of each triangle.

Now that you have the holes in the banner triangles, feed your ribbon or string through each hole. Start at the back of one piece, feed it through to the front, then back through to the backside. Repeat with each letter until you have your word. You can place the animal triangles anywhere on the string that you would like to.

Pulling ribbon back through the other hole so the triangle had been string on the ribbon completely.

Pay attention as you string the banner together to make sure that all the letters are going in the right order. You can either put it all on one string for a long banner, or use two strings and make a banner for each word. (I did two strings.)

After all the banner pieces have been placed on the string, evenly space them apart from each other. Your banners are now ready to be hung! You can hang them with tacks, tape, or any other way you would like to hang them.

That’s it for the banners. Keep an eye out for the next free printable in the zoo party series. Thank you for reading!
